![]() ![]() I’ve wondered why my appetite was so huge. How could such approaches be sustainable? Could I live on cabbage soup for the rest of my life? Hell no. Calorie restriction was painful and I felt deprived and hungry. A can of some beverage that I’d finish in 25 seconds was simply not it for me. I love food, the texture, the appearance, the taste and the rituals around eating. I have tried all manner of things to lose weight over the years, and many of them actually worked. From the age of 6, I was always one of the larger kids in the room. I have struggled with being overweight all my life. So I am extremely comfortable that the way I have been eating works and is sustainable. I’ve also done the research and I understand the science behind this way of eating and why I’ve gotten the results I have. Our challenge is to be able to sift through the plethora of information out there, triangulate and then decide what is valid from what is sheer quackery. Have you resigned yourself to being fat forever? Are you trying to convince yourself that you’re happy? Are you finding work-arounds to exist in this world as a fat person? If this resonates with you then you’re the person I’m talking to.ĭon’t give up just yet… This is the Information Age, and so today, our challenge is not accessing information. “Don’t eat this!” “Eat more of that!” “The keto-what?” “Carbs are the devil!” “Fats are good!” “But not trans fats!” “But what about my cholesterol?” “Am I in ketosis?” “My macros need adjusting!” “Don’t count calories but count carbs? Say what?” “ And what the hell is a carb anyway?” “ IT’S ALL SO CONFUSING! I GIVE UP!” Are you at that point yet? You’ve tried so many things, yet you’re still fat.
